Matt Powers
Board Member - At Large
"Being a first responder is not an easy job. We see the best and worst situations our communities experience. With that, providing timely assistance to those personnel caring for others is of utmost importance to me. We must strive to keep our responders mentally healthy and encourage positive life styles to maintain a positive work-life balance."
Mr. Powers has been caring for his peers in both peer support and critical incident stress management for two decades. Employed by the North County Fire Authority as the Battalion Chief - Emergency Medical Services, his background in para-medicine, fire service and emergency nursing certainly brings a unique perspective to our team and familiar with local resources to assist our firefighter family through acute and chronic crisis. |
