Michael was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from Serra High School in San Mateo. Michael graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Saint Thomas Aquinas College in New York. Michael has worked as a youth baseball coach, been a liaison for the Junior Giants, and has worked several jobs in retail before choosing law enforcement.
Michael has been an active law enforcement officer with the South San Francisco Police Department for four years and is currently the department’s School Liaison Officer. Michael is also on his department’s Peer Support Team. Michael is passionate about both the mental and physical health of officers. He looks to give back to his community whenever he can and wants to get more involved in preventing suicides in first responders. Michael has experience of being involved in critical incidents and understands the impact they have on everyone involved. Michael is committed to the well-being of all officers and reducing the stress being a first responder brings to the officer as well as their family.
